TBA Business Committee Meeting, April 22, 2003 The TBA Business Committee Chair Pauline Evans opened the meeting at Opal Restaurant by introducing State Assemblyman Jonathan Bing. In attendance were representatives from State Senator Liz Kreuger, as well as Speaker Gifford Miller, City Council Member Eva Moskowitz, and 17th Precinct P.O. Jim Murey. The business members included Muriel Siebert & Co., discount brokers; Butler Kane, commercial real estate; Prism Dental; 866 UN Plaza; and the following restaurants: Turtle Bay Grill, Cafe de Paris, Tammany Hall Bar, Billy's, Local, Lenny's, and P.J. Clark's. Speakers from the Department of Health presented their views on the origin of the smoking law. We thank the Opal Restaurant for hosting this meeting and we pledge to continue our work with both business members and the community so we can all be good neighbors, working and living happily in Turtle Bay.
