| A Cookie Extravaganza Saturday, December 13th was an extraordinarily special day for our neighborhood children and even their moms and dads. Patrick Murphy, manager, and Chris Citro, chef of the fabulous Ruth’s Chris Steak House joined Betsy Jacobs, the Executive Director of the Vanderbilt Y, to produce a Holiday Cookie Extravaganza. Over 30 children in appropriate chef’s aprons prepared cookie dough, baked, decorated and finally ate the amazing cookies along with fragrant hot chocolate. Although the moms and dads did not do any baking, they did get the opportunity to munch down excellent bagels and coffee kindly donated by Ruth’s Chris restaurant. Stay tuned for their next happening scheduled for this summer. It’s a secret – so don’t tell anyone – but we heard that it will be all about beach balls.
