A Collaboration Of Community and Businesses
By Pamela Bomser Stern
On Tuesday, October 14, our most recent neighbor, Ruth's Chris
Steakhouse, generously donated space in its elegant restaurant for
a TBA Business Group meeting. Representatives from the offices of
Assemblyman Jonathan Bing, Senator Liz Krueger, the Mayor's Midtown
Enforcement Unit, and The Department of Sanitation joined in a discussion
with TBA members, Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, Community Board
6, along with local businesses, The World Bar, The Patio, Nessa,
CafÈ de Paris, Family School, Local, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
and Bliss Bar and Lounge. The discussion, skillfully chaired by
Ralph Compagnone of TBA, centered mostly on quality-of-life issues
in our community. The dialogue was positive and evidenced our ongoing
shared commitment to help area businesses prosper and grow while
peacefully coexisting within our residential neighborhood.
